TRSRO in English
The official guide is thorough and entirely in Turkish, which is where most people coming to TRSRO stop. This is the same ground covered in English: written here, checked against the live directory, and dated so you can tell when it has gone stale.
New to the server?
These four, in this order, and you will be standing in Jangan with the right race on the right server, reading English.
- 01Creating an account and installingSign up and install from a site that is entirely in Turkish, with every button you need to press translated.
- 02First login and making a characterThe secondary password nobody warns you about, the ten-minute lockout after three wrong tries, and what it costs to change your username later.
- 03Putting the game into EnglishA patched Media.pk2 that swaps the Turkish client text for Joymax's own official English. One file, one swap, and it never changes a number.
- 04Choosing a serverKnidos, Nemrut, Lidya and Karya differ in level cap, playable races and how much the job system pays. Here is what actually separates them.
Getting started
5 articlesMaking an account on a Turkish site, installing the client, putting the game into English, and the first hour in game.
- Creating an account and installingSign up and install from a site that is entirely in Turkish, with every button you need to press translated.
- First login and making a characterThe secondary password nobody warns you about, the ten-minute lockout after three wrong tries, and what it costs to change your username later.
- Premium, and why you may not get inThere is no free VIP here the way iSRO has one. Premium is 290 Silk for four weeks, it skips the login queue, and the queue is there whenever the server is full, which is most of the time.
- Putting the game into EnglishA patched Media.pk2 that swaps the Turkish client text for Joymax's own official English. One file, one swap, and it never changes a number.
- Putting the Item Mall into EnglishThe mall loads off the web, so no client patch can reach it. A small local tool translates it as it loads, and fixes the mall refusing to open while it is there.
Servers
5 articlesWhat actually differs between Knidos, Nemrut, Lidya and Karya, and how to pick one.
- Choosing a serverKnidos, Nemrut, Lidya and Karya differ in level cap, playable races and how much the job system pays. Here is what actually separates them.
- KnidosChinese race only, level cap 100, and a job system rebuilt so caravans are worth running. The server Outlanders plays on.
- NemrutLevel cap 100, both races but overwhelmingly European at the top, all three fortresses open, and a king election found nowhere else.
- LidyaThe newest server: level cap 110, both races, and the season system: rotating daily objectives that no previous Silkroad server has had.
- KaryaLevel cap 110, both races, and the broadest race mix of the four. The oldest server, and the only one with no official guide page.
Jobs and trade
3 articlesTrader, Hunter and Thief: the suits, the levels, the caravans and the war over them.
- Hunter, Thief and job modeYour job is chosen once per account, not per character, and a balance rule can stop you picking the popular side. What job mode changes, and why you get a second name.
- Trading and caravansThe three ways to trade, where the NPCs are, what a successful run pays, and how tickets convert: the loop the whole job system is built on.
- Job levels, promotions and titlesJob level rises separately from character level and stalls without a paid promotion. The four promotions, what each unlocks, and the seven-rung title ladder.
Items and gear
3 articlesDegrees, enhancement, seals, magic options, alchemy and crafting.
- Item classes, degrees and sealsWhite, blue and yellow items, what a degree is, and why everything worth having above degree 10 is called a Nova seal.
- Plus levels and Advanced ElixirsNormal elixirs gamble. Advanced Elixirs do not; they add a guaranteed +1 or +2, and you make them by destroying gear you already own.
- Weapons and armourThe trade-offs behind each weapon and armour type: what you give up for a shield, and which armour loses to magic.
Hunting and PvE
5 articlesGrinding, uniques, Forgotten World and the instanced content worth running.
- The Forgotten WorldAn instanced dungeon you have to manufacture your own key for: grind pillars into holes, open a gate, and trade talismans for weapons.
- Pharaoh's TombThree floors, three difficulties, six uniques and a currency of its own. Level 100, two entries a day, and you cannot go alone.
- The Dimensional DesertAn alternative grind zone that exists to unclog the main ones, and whose level band moved once the servers matured.
- The Ancient Witch VeneficaA wave-defence tent outside Donwhang that costs 10m gold to enter and drops the best items in the game, with the two rarest coins locked to solo runs.
- RocTwice a week, 5m gold for the key, eight guardians and ten minutes to breathe before the biggest bird in the game lands on you.
PvP and arenas
4 articlesFree PvP, the four arenas, Capture the Flag and fortress war.
- Free PvP and the five teamsFight anywhere outside a town with no PK penalty by picking a team, and understand what attacking someone outside that system actually costs you.
- Survival ArenaLast one standing, solo or in a party, for 10,000 gold a go. Entry is capped to near-max levels, and you can re-enter for a full hour.
- Styria ClashHunters against Thieves for a score. Chests are worth ten kills, which is what makes it a game about map control rather than a brawl.
- Battle Arena and the Endless ArenaFour ways into a team fight, from an 8v8 you join alone to a 32v32 between the job sides, plus the wave-defence arena you can enter as a monster.
Guild and academy
2 articlesGuild levels and unions, the academy, and how honor points are earned.
- Guild points and the guild windowGP is what a guild levels on, and fortress war pays it in amounts that dwarf everything else: the heart alone is worth 200 levels of grinding.
- The academy and honor pointsThe academy was rebuilt: honor no longer comes from graduating novices but from playing, the ranking resets every month, and both build types can compete.
